Especially for my friends at Cardmaking Paradise

A very special hello to all you lovely ladies who have made me feel very welcome. It is lovely being part of such a fabulous group.Your comments are very much appreciated and I thank you for them.
As I have not conquered this monster yet ( very new to computers!! ) thought I would share with you some cards I have done using Sara's Templates on my blog here. I am ever so thankful that I found them, as I so enjoyed making them. Hopefully, I will get to the stage where I will be able to add to the site itself.

This card Sara has called a Trellis Easel, I think! It is made with Kaisercrafts lovely Sweet Nothings collection. Actually, I do design for them in Australia - Kaisercraft that is, as well as being on Artfull Crafts design team here in Timaru New Zealand

This card is a Triple Heart card - super to make and I think it is beautiful! Again, using the same papers from Kaisercraft. They were both made, as orders, for the same couple

How about a cradle card for the new baby. My baby's shawl and booties!! He's now almost 40!!

The last one I have done so far, is the Butterfly Easel card. Turned out lovely!
Do hope you ladies will find this link. Will definately be working towards improving my computer skills.
With love and blessings to you all,

Betsy xxx

A quick post today

Goodmorning to all my blogging friends.

Just a very quick post before I head of to patchwork to day. Actually, I really am doing a trial run, as for some reason, unbeknown to me, I was not able to do the blog for Artfull Crafts yesterday - just got the title done, then it let me down!! Oh the joys of computers and dumb operators!!

Now a couple of cards I would like to share with you.
Here is a baby card that I made for an order. Really do love doing these cards! Spellbinders Grand Labels 1 was used to cut it out, otherwise it is a simple card. The stamp is a Stamp-it. Plenty of sponging round the edges.

This card was made for my lovely daughter Rachelle and she's not 21!! I love using my sewing machine on cards - seems to just add another dimension. I think it is quite self expanitory and I hope she likes it!

All from me today, must get off down the road to see all my other buddys, in time for morning tea that is!
With special blessings to you all. Graham and Liz coming this evening so Graham will sort out ALL my computer problems as well as the operator!!

With love,
Betsy xx

Recent Cards

Hello everyone. Just a few cards that I have made recently.

Card No1 was made for a very special friend, for her birthday. I used the DCWV, The Mariposa matstack papers, and the stamp is a Stamp-it, Time in Paris - Patti is really partial to everything French! I cut the label with Spellbinders Labels 5, sponging it with sepia ink before removing the die. Seam binding, sprayed with glimmermist and double bowed, makes a gorgeous bow. I just love these cameos which are all the rage at the moment, for cards. Of course, Kaisercraft roses to complete the card.

I have many loves in my life and one of them is Tilda, of Magnolia! I think she is just the cutest! Don't you all agree? She is coloured with copic markers which I find so easy to use. Kaisercraft, Sweet Nothings papers were used and the clock is Tim Holtz's Weathered Clock die, again cut out then sponged with sepia ink. It is a inkpad that sits on my workbench all the time, as I am always reaching for it. The usual, flowers from Kaisercraft and an organza bow.

Well ladies, how about a pot of tea? This teapot was seen on Karen Maldonado's blog and I thought it was rather cute and a little different, so I decided to make a couple. Love the saying on the second one!! Actually I saw it somewhere ( can't remember where ) and printed it off on my computer.

That's all from me today, but have you checked on Artfull Crafts blog for yesterday. I added a couple of very different cards which I found the template for, on Cardmaking Paradise. Do take a peep. I was so pleased with them.

With very special blessings to you all , do hope your Valentines Day was up to expectations. Hugh picked me a rose from the garden - was a big saving, as he told me rose were selling for up to $25. I did admit I wasn't worth that much!!

With love,

Kaisercraft Cards

Hello everyone.

I have had another day with my patchwork friends. In fact I had the prestigious position of being hostess!! It was another lovely day - I love these ladies. When we shifted from Catlins, six years ago now, they welcomed me with opened arms. You couldn't find a more delightful group!

Thought I would show you some of the cards I made for Kaisercraft, for February. They are actually published in the lastest Workshop Magazine. It is the gorgeous These Days collection which I really love! It has so many different possibilities and so many different colour combinations.

I do so love card making and passing on the little that I have gleaned from other very clever ladies in blogworld. Mind you, sometimes my brain does co-operate and I do get waves of inspiration!!
Well my friends, have you been keeping up with Liz's travels etc on Artfull Crafts site - sounds as though it might be hard to get her back to WORK. I am looking forward to her return though, next week! When you are ordering from Artfull Crafts, remember to add a FREE Worshop Magazine - they are full of great ideas.

Happy crafting to everyone, thanks for checking this out. Would love for you to comment.

With love and blessings to you all,

Betsy xx

Quilts this Week

Hello everyone. As I have had a day at patchwork today, thought I would show you a couple of quilts I have made. No, not today - over the last year!! Hope you think it's a pleasant change from cards!
This one is a wallhanging which I loved making. The embroidered panels are all done in back stitch with black thread. It was time consuming but it did keep me out of mischief and filled in many a patchwork meeting day!

Another wallhanging - this one is called Broken Star. It is really quite dramatic and was rather a challenge getting all the diamonds matching. Anyway, I love the finished quilt.
If you click on the photos, a bigger image will come up so you can see them clearer. Do hope you enjoy.

Well, that's all from me today. Maybe back to cards next week! The orders still seem to be coming in. It is our card day tomorrow with my friends so looking forward to that.
Catch up soon, thanks for checking this out.

Blessing to you all,
Betsy xxx
