Always and Forever

Good morning to all on this lovely day. It sure makes ones want to rise and shine!! Well almost!

I thought today I would go back a few months to one of Kaisercraft's May collections and share with you all, some cards I made for a kit for Artfull Crafts - it is lovely to work with, has a romantic feel but it can also be used for a number of different occasions.

This card is a Shaped Tri Fold Card and is very simply made. Check on Splitcoaststampers site, you will probably find a tutorial for it in their resource area. It is my go-to site! The circle die I have used is Kaisercraft's Circle Vines Die, DD547 - it is a very versatile die.

My favourite 5 1/4" square card here and the die is Spellbinder's, Fleur De Lis. The flower embellishment can be bought at Artfull Crafts - there is such a wide variety of these Embellies in stock, so do check them out.

Another 5 1/4" square card but I have made this into a shaker card. This is a fun card to make and it certainly gets a few WOW"s. The die an Impression Obsession, DIE001-Z. This was bought at Artfull crafts as well, so don't hesitate to contact them if you are keen to duplicate this card.

That's it today ladies, until next week, happy crafting and God bless you all.

A Couple of Orders

Spring is starting to spring ladies - there is a little bit of colour in the garden which is always so nice to see after the Winter months. I do love the Springtime!

Today I am going to share a couple of cards which I have made for orders. Would love to know your thoughts on these latest projects and do hope the recipients enjoy them. I rather like doing orders as I feel I almost know the person by the time I have completed them.

Great Grandma is very excited to be welcoming her little great grand-daughter - she is is England but we have already seen some gorgeous photos, a few hours old. Modern technology is so amazing. This is a 5 1/4" square card using Kaisercraft's, Little One collection. The pram was cut using Marianne Design, LR0218 and the oval die is a Spellbinders, Floral Ovals. As you will notice, I have also done some zig-zag stitching, with my sewing machine, round the inner edge just to add a little interest.

Now, Graeme has had many hobbies and interests over his eighty years and it was rather difficult to choose which to focus on, for his card. Anyway, here it is and I do hope Graeme enjoys it. Again a 5 1/4" square card and Kaisercraft's Time Machine collection for the base of the card. Rachel Grieg's film strip across the card depicting his farming interests and the rest is self explanatory. Trust the recipient will have a wonderful birthday.

As I have a teaching stint to do on Wednesday morning, at Artful Crafts ( Liz has deserted us again!! ) I had better go and prepare some kits, so as to have some happy pupils. They are always fun to be with and are really not much trouble at all.

Until next week ladies, happy crafting and special blessings to you all,

The Last of Sea Breeze Kit

Hello to all. I know I missed last week but life does get in the way at times!  All's well this week though, at the moment, so will do my best to add to this now. It really is hard to imagine where the year is going though, as it is August already - be Christmas before we know it.

Today I thought I would share the remainder of the kit that I tutored at SENZ, using Kaisercraft's lovely Sea Breeze collection.

A very simple 5 1/4" square card which I think is self explanatory. The butterfly is cut using Spellbinder's Les Papillions Die.

Another simple card making use of the gorgeous papers in the collection. To distress the card I have used my sepia ink pad, also the seam binding ribbon.

Now this last card is a double gate fold and I have just cut the fronts into peaks, so as to be a bit different. It is also simple to do but it does look rather effective.

I have quite a pile of projects waiting in my workroom, so had better head that direction. Patchwork took over the weekend, which I so enjoyed. We had a class all day Saturday with a lovely group of ladies and I must say I achieved quite a bit. Will perhaps share my project when it gets closer to completion.

Thanks so much for stopping by, happy crafting and may you all know God's blessing. Until next week,

Kaisercraft's Sea Breeze Cards

This is a stunning collection which Kaisercraft brought out for the month of April - it really suits me fine as I just love these colours that they have chosen. At the SENZ Expo I taught this kit and then Saturday week I also tutored some lovely local ladies, at Artfull Crafts. It sure seems to have made a hit! Today I thought I would share three of the cards which were in the kit. There are six altogether but will spread out the show and tell into another week!

The first card is called a lever card and the ladies enjoyed making this one. Even though it looks complicated it is rather simple to make. A tutorial can be found on Splitcoaststampers site, in the resource area, for any of you ladies who would like to try your hand at it.

I have gone rather shabby with this one, distressing and using sepia ink on the edges. A few layers of paper were used and the roses are made using Spellbinder's Rose Creation Die. I am also into muslin just now - it does give a softer look to an arrangement and of course bakers twine is a must.

A simple card for this one. Martha Stewart Border punch for the edges, Kaisercraft's Decorative Circle Vines Die, DD547 which is so versatile, again some muslin with the flowers.

I must mention a very interesting book I have been reading lately, about a young girl who had her arm bitten off by a shark and through much adversity, she still held strongly to her faith in God. It is called Soul Surfer and her name is Bethany Hamilton. An absolute encouragement to all. Millie our grand-daughter, put me onto it as they have been studying it for Religious Studies. She apparently got a A+ for her assignment - well done Millie and thank you for the commendation.

All today, until next time happy crafting and maybe reading!! Many blessings to all
