A Correction
I must make a correction on my previous post. The die I used on the first card was not a Spellbinders but a Doily Die from Cherry Lynn Designs, the Italian flourish. Please forgive me for the mistake.
Fabulous Weekend.
Well ladies, what a fabulous weekend we have had up in Auckland meeting so many of you lovely people. We did have a few hic-ups at the beginning what with planes not flying due to the ash, train being derailed with all that shop stock and class kits on - that was North of Christchurch where there was a big landslide due to the earthquake but it all worked out and a lovely time was had by all.
I will include a photo of our happy group from Artful Crafts. Timaru. There are also three Kaiser girls with us from Australia - we did enjoy them very much and had so much fun.
Now for some cards and these are specially for you Ann.
This card was made using the beautiful Spellbinders Lotus Pendant. I think it is lovely and of course I have used Chanteuse papers from Kaisercraft. The big flowers are Kaisercraft as well, the smaller being cut out with a punch and moulded. Martha Stewart punch was used to cut out the butterflys.
Another card for you Ann. This is a sketch I followed from Tanya Leigh which is really for a scrap book page but I adapted it to a card. Again using Chanteuse paper and the photo is one I found on the web.
I do like vintagey cards with lots of sepia ink !!
Hope we connect soon Ann, with regards to all you ladies,
God bless you all,
Betsy.

A catch up.
Well, I see it's quite a while since I have last blogged so will do a little catch up. Life has been rather hectic this past week or so, what with SENZ so close! Anyway I think we are all getting things sorted out now. Us girls are really looking forward to it now and it will be great to see you all in Auckland. See, I still class myself as a 'girl'. Mind you, I still have quite a job keeping up with these young things!!
Here is a card I made some time ago for my grand-daughter Ella. It is a free standing card. Actually I made the same type of card in the last 'Card Temptation' pack so do have a peek.
Must away and get my beauty sleep again - it hasn't done much good yet but one can always hope!!
May God bless you all,
Betsy.

A wonderful weekend and three easel cards.
Hello to all my blogging friends,
Whew, what a wonderful weekend we have had and what a lovely lot of ladies. You were all such fun and it was lovely getting to know you better. Liz, you are a miracle and a bundle of energy - everything was thought of, right down to the amazing decore. Thanks everyone. Tanya, it was beaut having you with us too. I could tell you were enjoying yourself as well. Today is my catch up "on rest day "- badly needed at my age!!
Here are three easel cards I have made, some time ago, for some friends. Hope you enjoy seeing them. Easel cards are fun to make, so do have a go, if you haven't already. There are plenty of wonderful sites and blogs showing this style of card.
Trust you have all had a relaxing Queen's Birthday weekend and kept safe.
God bless you all,
Betsy.
