Two Easel Cards

This Sunday evening seems to be getting a bit of a habit for adding my weekly blog but as I have an early start again tomorrow, will do it tonight. I am going to be curtain making with my lovely friend for the day, well almost my fifth daughter, so an early start is required. I know we will have fun together and do hope we achieve the completed drapes by the end of the day.

I thought today I would share a couple of easel cards which I have made recently. Do hope you don't mind Lyn! The second one is one I taught at Artfull Crafts a short time ago, the ladies seemed to enjoy doing it.

Lyn's card was cut out using a Marianne Designs Die,LR0236 which I think is very pretty. Of course it is also one of my favourite colours. Prima flowers have been used and the leaves are a Couture Creations die, which I cut apart after putting it through the machine.

For this card, another Marianne Designs die was used, LR0112. Easel cards are so fun to make and are certainly easy to put together and they do have the WOW factor. Kaiser flowers have been added to this one. The picture is one I got from my lovely friend Doreen.

It seems to be building up to the Christmas season again, at Artfull Crafts - there are so many new collections and bits and pieces in stock and I have been playing with a number of them. The show case will be coming up later, no doubt. Do check out the web site for all the goodies that are available. Juanita is back and as she is the top salesperson you just won't be able to resist the pressure! Speaking from experience.

Must close, special greetings to you all, happy crafting and God bless.

Back On The Radar

Hello to all you lovely blog friends.

Sorry I have been  remiss in adding to my blog lately but we have had a busy few weeks.and as we are off to Christchurch early tomorrow, to a funeral, I thought I would make the most of these few moments now. The older one gets the faster time moves and the slower it takes to get things done!

Amongst all the rush and bustle, I have still managed to get some card orders done as well as some for very good friends, so thought I would showcase a couple of them today.

The die I have used for this card is a Spellbinder's, Triple Floral, S6-027. It is a lovely die and cuts the whole edge at once, making a stunning border. Spellbinder's, Majestic Labels 25, S5-189 was used for cutting the frame round the Pion lady. The finished card measured approximately 5 1/4" square.

My Cherry Lynn Step Card Die, B348 is an all time favourite and as you will notice it has been used again. Pion Papers have some gorgeous ladies in their collections, I have used another one here, again bordering it with the Majestic Labels 25 die. Both my friends were very pleased with their cards and I certainly enjoyed making them.

Our daughter Jo is arriving tonight, as she has a week in Christchurch but is heading up to the funeral with me first thing in the morning. Early start I presume!! Apart from the funeral, am looking forward to being with my three girls and families.

All for this week ladies, happy crafting and God's blessing to you all. Catch you next week, hopefully,
