Daughter's Birthday Cards

I see another fortnight has slipped by but last week we had an appointment in Christchurch, and we also spent a few days with our Christchurch families. Always love my wee catch ups with our lovely daughters! I think by now, we may have done the rounds of every coffee shop in Christchurch but in saying that, we did find a new one for our lunch, one day last week.

Today I thought I would share a couple of cards made for my girls for their birthdays, Do hope you enjoy the viewing.

Jo and family have recently moved into a new home in Dunedin so I thought this paper was appropriate. It is a Blue Fern Studios Paper, has this gorgeous house on the corner of one of the papers and then I fussy cut the spray of flowers. Very simple but it is effective. The card measures 5 1/4" square. Dare say you will notice no DIES for this one!! Very much a rarity.

Another 5 1/4" square card and for Rachelle's one I have used another new range, for me, which is a Bo Bunny, Sweet Moments Collection. The colours in this range are so pretty. The border was cut using a Sue Wilson Die, Petite Striplet - Rippled, CED1624. The Green Tara flowers have been layered onto a circle, cut using Marianne Creatables Die,CR1251.

That's it today ladies. As I am filling in for Liz on Wednesday morning, at the shop, had better head to the workroom and finish preparing the kits. Always something to keep one out of mischief!!

So nice to be in touch again, thanks for stopping by, happy crafting and many blessings to all.

Anti Card Making Camp

Card making camp is behind us for another year and what an amazing time we had. A big thanks goes to Liz again for the wonderful weekend, also a special thanks to Cheryll Townley and Trina McClune for the time they spent tutoring us. They are both so talented and passed on a lot of different ideas etc. It was lovely meeting up with all the ladies, some of whom travelled quite a distance to be with us. I know that some of the ladies have already booked in for next year, so that does say something. I so enjoyed giving Trina a little taste of Geraldine - we wouldn't mind if she shifted down this way!!

Here are a couple of cards I have just made for orders.

For Sarah and Barton's card I have used an older range from Kaisercraft called Elegance. Basically it is a 5 1/4" square card but I have cut the bottom edge using Spellbonder's A2 Scalloped Borders One, S5-182. I love the effect this die makes. The heart was cut using Spellbinder;s Heart Die, the leaves were an Elizabeth Die, Curvey Leaves, 730, and the sentiment label is Spellbinder's Fancy Framed Tags One.The heart embellishment is a cake decoration.

Spellbinder's Majestic Labels 25, S5-189 has been used for this card and Kaisercraft's Cherry Tree Collection which is relatively recent. A very simple card but using this die and papers makes it rather effective.

Artfull Crafts are now preparing for their Road Shows and you distant ladies are in for a treat - keep an eye on their web page for the times they will be in your area. With Liz away, it means Betsy has the job of trying to keep our local ladies happy - it's a hard job but must say I do rather enjoy it, just being with the lovely ladies is fun. Anyway, better go and prepare something to do with them.

Thank you all for taking the time to stop by, happy crafting and very many blessings to everyone for another week. Until next time.
