A Correction

I must make a correction on my previous post. The die I used on the first card was not a Spellbinders but a Doily Die from Cherry Lynn Designs, the Italian flourish. Please forgive me for the mistake.

Fabulous Weekend.

Well ladies, what a fabulous weekend we have had up in Auckland meeting so many of you lovely people. We did have a few hic-ups at the beginning what with planes not flying due to the ash, train being derailed with all that shop stock and class kits on - that was North of Christchurch where there was a big landslide due to the earthquake but it all worked out and a lovely time was had by all.

I will include a photo of our happy group from Artful Crafts. Timaru. There are also three Kaiser girls with us from Australia - we did enjoy them very much and had so much fun.

Now for some cards and these are specially for you Ann.

This card was made using the beautiful Spellbinders Lotus Pendant. I think it is lovely and of course I have used Chanteuse papers from Kaisercraft. The big flowers are Kaisercraft as well, the smaller being cut out with a punch and moulded. Martha Stewart punch was used to cut out the butterflys.

Another card for you Ann. This is a sketch I followed from Tanya Leigh which is really for a scrap book page but I adapted it to a card. Again using Chanteuse paper and the photo is one I found on the web.
I do like vintagey cards with lots of sepia ink !!
Hope we connect soon Ann, with regards to all you ladies,

God bless you all,
Betsy.

A catch up.

Well, I see it's quite a while since I have last blogged so will do a little catch up. Life has been rather hectic this past week or so, what with SENZ so close! Anyway I think we are all getting things sorted out now. Us girls are really looking forward to it now and it will be great to see you all in Auckland. See, I still class myself as a 'girl'. Mind you, I still have quite a job keeping up with these young things!!
Here is a card I made some time ago for my grand-daughter Ella. It is a free standing card. Actually I made the same type of card in the last 'Card Temptation' pack so do have a peek.
Must away and get my beauty sleep again - it hasn't done much good yet but one can always hope!!
May God bless you all,
Betsy.

A wonderful weekend and three easel cards.

Hello to all my blogging friends,

Whew, what a wonderful weekend we have had and what a lovely lot of ladies. You were all such fun and it was lovely getting to know you better. Liz, you are a miracle and a bundle of energy - everything was thought of, right down to the amazing decore. Thanks everyone. Tanya, it was beaut having you with us too. I could tell you were enjoying yourself as well. Today is my catch up "on rest day "- badly needed at my age!!

Here are three easel cards I have made, some time ago, for some friends. Hope you enjoy seeing them. Easel cards are fun to make, so do have a go, if you haven't already. There are plenty of wonderful sites and blogs showing this style of card.
Trust you have all had a relaxing Queen's Birthday weekend and kept safe.

God bless you all,
Betsy.

Two new cards.

Evening everyone,
Just another couple of cards. I just love Magnolia stamps!! Isn't Tilda the cutest? She has been coloured with copics and of course I have used the Spellbinders nestabilities to cut out the circles. Lately I have been making a lot of 51/4" square cards.
We had a busy couple of days last weekend as it was Craft Creators Weekend - the ladies seemed to enjoy it and must admit I did too! Thanks to Joanne and Jocelyn for helping me out on Friday. These two ladies are just wonderful.

Another 51/4" card - for this one I used the lovely chanteuse paper from Kaisercraft. Martha Stewart punch and the flower stamp is a Stamping Up, again coloured with copics. They are my favourite form of colouring at the moment, so easy to work with.
Bed time so must get my beauty sleep!!

God bless , Betsy.

Danielle's Artist Board.

Hello everyone, To day I am showing an artist board I did up for my grand-daughter. She requested a big one for her new bedroom, it is 18" square. She produced three photos and left me to it. I'm not really a scrapbooker but I must say I enjoyed doing this. Very girly, and don't you think she is beautiful? Maybe I am biased!! Heidi, Danielle's little sister has asked Nana to do her one for her birthday but at the moment she is minus her front teeth which doesn't lend itself to the best photos!! We'll have to see how it goes. Have had a busy day at Timaru today getting last minute instructions for the  weekends coming up. I'm really looking forward to them. Must away,

God bless you all,
Betsy.

My interpretation of the sketch.

Hello everyone,
Do hope you have all had an enjoyable weekend. Mine has been very relaxing, actually managed to get some housework done! Here is a card that I made using Tanya's sketch for May, being Family and Friends. She does the sketch for scrapbooking but I try and adapt it to a card. I have used  the lovely Chanteuse paper from Kaisercraft ( which by the way, I am doing a card class at SENZ using the same papers). I absolutely love it, so it should be fun. Mind you, for you South ladies that cannot make it to Auckland there is a weekend  at Artfull Crafts , at Labour weekend, where we are having a trial run. I have been working on the Card Temptations pack for June, so have it all ready to take in on Wednesday.
Must away.

God bless you all,
Betsy.
