A New Fun Product

Well, life is fairly busy here at the moment as we are all focused on the big SENZ, Paper Crafting Expo which is held in Auckland, over the next weekend. We so enjoy this time although we are relatively busy. Meeting up with all the fabulous like minded friends that I have made over the years is an absolute bonus and of course, meeting up with new ones. Look out Auckland here we come!!

Today I thought I would share a couple of cards which I have made using a new product which we are going to showcase at SENZ. It is so much fun to use and the results are stunning. I am looking forward to being the demonstrator for Artfull Crafts, using this, showing all you ladies what can be achieved. Just a little foretaste today!

Foamiran is the latest trend for making flowers and I can't stop playing with it. I have just added a foamiran flower to this simple card which was made for an anniversary card, for an order.

A birthday card order this time, a circular easel card with another foamiran flower. Just a couple of the many flowers that can be achieved using this amazing product. Watch this space ladies, also Artfull Crafts is on the band wagon, so keep an eye on their web site for all the associated products.

All for today, must go and carry on with the preparing. Thanks so much for checking this out and do hope you all make a visit to Artfull Crafts stand, at SENZ as we would love to catch up. With many blessings to you all.

Kaisercraft's Hanami Garden

What a fabulous morning we have here in Geraldine this morning. Trust you are all enjoying similar wherever you are. A very quick post today as I am expecting visitors this PM. and I am not long out of my snugly bed! Just as well my visitors know me well, isn't it Lyn?!

Sometime back I did a class at Artfull Crafts using Kaisercraft's Hanami Garden collection and I must say it did make a hit, so thought I would share the two cards today. Hope you get some inspiration from the viewing. This collection came out in February so it is a while ago now.

This first card is a screen card with a few extra fold lines. The range has an almost Asian feel so I thought it did suit this style of card. What's your thoughts ladies? The strip top and bottom is actually washi tape. ( I used some of my decorative stash!!) Oh no!

For our classes we always do one intricate first, then a simpler card for the second one, hence this one was next. It is an easy folded one, just adding some of the lovely papers and a few embellishments. A Martha Stewart border punch was used for the edge.

That's it today, thanks so much for stopping by. Enjoy your day ladies and many blessings to you all.

Graphic 45

I know I'm a day late and I do apologise for that, but life does get in the way sometimes! We had a lovely couple of days in Christchurch with our girls and families - Rachelle and Mike have headed to USA for about three weeks, so we had to see them before they left. Our grandson Hamilton, is in a competition over there, he did win the New Zealand section and is now competing with the world. We do wish him well in his endeavours. Future Problem Solving is the subject, world problem solving that is! Oh, if there could be some solutions to all the heartache that abounds in the world  at the moment! Do hope he finds some answers!

Graphic 45 papers are still one of my very favourite collections and today I thought I would share a couple of cards I have made using the beautiful Portrait of a Lady range. Actually I am teaching at SENZ with these papers, so ladies we are in for a fab time. Love, love, love it!! Now I must admit, the first card was an idea I saw on the web, so it isn't an original.

I can't give the credit where it is due, as I have forgotten where I found it, but a big thank you to the designer. I think it is lovely - I have changed it slightly. The roses at the bottom have been fussy cut from one of the papers. The big rose is from Prima.

One of my own here - I love the perfume bottles which were fussy cut again, Kaisercraft's Circle Vines Die, DD547 and the vintage clip is from Prima. It really does add to the elegance of this card.

Not long now ladies until we head North for the SENZ expo. I have a few friends who are getting pretty excited about it all, some have not been before so that is giving them an extra buzz. As well as the shop girls, there are eight or nine others coming with us from this area, so should be fun as usual.

Well must away, do trust you are all keeping warm and enjoying whatever you are finding to do.
May God bless each and every one of you,

My New Toys!

Hello to all my blog friends. It is so nice to be in touch again for another week - do trust you are all well and enjoying whatever you are doing.

Today I thought I would share a couple of cards made with  my new toys!! I have had so much fun using these stamps which are from Altenew. There is no colouring in, just doing step stamping which gives this lovely effect with a minimum effort. Here are a couple of examples ladies.
There are plenty of you tubes available on the web and they are very easy to follow.

I have made these the usual size -   5 1/4" square cards. I must say thanks to Christine for the inspiration. The collection used is a Maja Design, Sofiero which is from Sweden.Very pretty papers.

Both cards are very similar and I love them both. I branched out and bought the Peony Bouquet stamp and some of the ink pad sets, which are so easy to use as they are all matching, light to dark colours. For the first card I used the Red Cosmos set and the second was Rock Collection. I do like the grey colour. You will no doubt see more of these over time, as I so enjoy making them and I have succumbed to adding a few more to the collection!! Stamps that is. When asked now for flat cards for posting, the problem is solved.

Watch this space ladies as I also have another fun product to share - Foamiran. Oh what fun one can have with it! I will share on future posts.

Must away and carry on with the good work. God bless each and every one of you,

Sympathy Cards

Good morning to all. After a rather heavy frost, we can now brag we have a beautiful day - behind glass that is! It is always nice to be able to get the washing on the line, for an airing.

Just a short blog today as I have so many UFO's in my workroom to complete and I really must focus on them. Trust you will enjoy the viewing of these two sympathy cards - I don't know whether it's the age but one does seem to be in need of these more, as time goes on.

This embossing folder has always been a favourite - it embosses as well as it cuts out different areas of the card. I understand it is unavailable now. The verse is also a favourite, it speaks volumes doesn't it? The pearl card was used here as well. It sure adds another dimension to cards.

" That Folder" was used here. It originally came as a free-be with a magazine and it has certainly made a hit on the web. It is lovely and makes a 5 1/4" square card. Another choice verse on this card.
Both cards are very simple but I think one does need simple for sympathy!

I'm making a run for the workroom now, thanks so much for stopping by and happy crafting. May God bless you all.

A Wedding and Birthday Card

Well, Mother's Day has been and gone for another year. Trust all you Mothers got well and truly spoilt. I did notice some gorgeous cards for Mums, on the web and for those that received them, I do know how much they would be appreciated. My family don't send cards, for some reason, but they did all make contact which was every bit as special.

Today I thought I would share a couple of cards, one being a wedding card for an order and the other is a birthday card for a special young man.

My usual 5 1/4" square card, silver and white with a touch of pink. It is quite self explanatory really but the pearl card does give it an extra WOW factor.

I have used an older Collection from Kaisercraft, for Justus's card, Outdoor Trail. He is a young man who enjoys being in the outdoors, with his Dad.

We had a super day on Saturday, at Embellish It's Crop day - we met some more out of the area ladies which we enjoyed. Introduced them to one of our shopping courts and one of them took full advantage of the visit. A fun day altogether. Thanks again Jo.

Catch you all again next week, all being well - I suppose you will all have caught up with the SENZ news. It is a fun time meeting up with many like minded ladies - consider making the trip North as it is sure worth it.

Happy crafting everyone and God bless you all,

Card Orders.

A special hello to all my lovely blog friends. Monday has again slipped by but here we are today. I did have a super day with a great group of ladies yesterday, making cards, of course. I feel so at home with the Wilson Street Baptist craft group, just a part of them. Thanks for having me there.

I thought I would  showcase a couple of cards I have made recently for orders. Love to know your thoughts ladies.

For this card I have used the outside edge of a Sue Wilson Die, Scattered Leaves, CED-7103. It is a gorgeous die and there are so many different ways for it to be used. The flowers have been made using the Heartfelt Creations Die, Arianna Blooms, HCPC-3608, stamping and embossing onto vellum with white, colouring on the back side with alcohol pens lightly, then cutting out using the Die system to go with these flowers. HCD1-748.

A hexagon shaped card here. As I have been working with hexagons, making a quilt, have got rather fond of them, so thought I would give a card a go. Very plain but I was rather pleased with the effect, as I hope Sandy was!

A lovely Autumn day here so will go and enjoy it.  I have to make a visit before lunch so will go and do that now. Thanks again for stopping by and checking this out. You are all so appreciated.

Happy crafting ladies and many blessings.
