Heidi's Canvas

Good afternoon ladies. Do hope you are enjoying the same lovely weather as we are having today! I am so pleased the snow is behind us again, for now- maybe I am a trifle" long in the tooth" but snow doesn't enthuse me one bit. Been there, done that, having lived in the Catlins for over thirty years!! Mind you it's nice seeing the young ones having fun.

Now, I am showing the canvas I have done for our Heidi. Isn't she just the cutest? Even though I am not a scrapbooker I have enjoyed doing these, for the girls. I know there is room for improvement but that will come with practice. Of course purple and pink are really girly colours so hence we have purple. I know it will go lovely in her new room.

Well ,I hope you enjoy seeing me latest effort. I must get back onto cards as there seems to be a number of birthdays this month - I know some people are expecting a card!!!

With blessings to you all,
Betsy.

Millie's Birthday card.

Well ladies, it is my day at home today to catch up on all the things that have been neglected lately. The forecast is not very good for most of the country but we are enjoying a sunny day here. It is lovely sitting in the sun, as I add to my blog. Hope the snow hasn't upset your plans too much. Some of the family  are to be travelling to the farm in a day or two, so hope they manage it. Our daughter-in-law said they haven't much snow, down in the Catlins - sounds as though it is further North. Roads are closed around Dunedin.

Well, I must add a card that I have made for our Millie Rose's eighth birthday. Last year she had a real crush on Justine Bieber so the card had to be focused on him! She told her mother, " I hope Nana knows I don't like Justine Bieber anymore." Nanas have to be mind readers!! Now this is the result for this year as apparently it's fairies and roses. It is a recessed window card which has been made with 3D  decoupage. She seemed to have approved of it.

Thanks for looking ladies, trust you are all keeping warm.
May you know God's blessing,
Betsy.

Where has the week gone?

Well blog friends, another week has slipped away - where do they go? The weather has been lovely here for the past few days - one could almost think it is Summer!
We had a very enjoyable day yesterday, at Pleasant Point, with my patchwork friends. It was a reginal day for patchworkers with quite a number from other areas. It was very pleasant.
Tomorrow, a few of us local ladies are going to be starting canvas's. I will be doing one for my little granddaughter, Heidi, who asked me some time ago to do one. Should be fun.
Here are another couple of cards that I did at Ashburton using the same paper pad as previous. Love it.

I have been busy designing this month's Card Temptation Pack so should have it ready by Wednesday. Thank you ladies again for your interest - love your comments!

May God bless each and every one of you,
Betsy.

Two of my weekend cards.

We had a wonderful day on Saturday at Ashburton, with some lovely ladies. I can't say my day was altogether profitable but it was a lot of fun and I did make four cards. I will show a couple of them. I love the colours of this paper I have used. Actually I bought the pad at the Warehouse and really enjoyed using it. What do you think?

Graham gave some tuition on photographing my cards while at SENZ, so I hope you all think they are better. Still room for improvement I know but it's a start.

A day in Timaru tomorrow so better get of to bed.

With blessings to you all,
Betsy.

Magnolia Cards

Phew everyone!! What a full on week I have had as I have had to meet a few deadlines. Anyway it's all behind me for a day or two, so now I can put up a now post. We are off to have a girly day tomorrow, making cards, at Ashburton. I love getting together with like minded ladies, it is a most enjoyable day.

Well, must put up another two cards. Magnolia stamps are a firm favourite so don't have any trouble making cards with them. Tilda is just lovely!  I colour her with my copic pens. Don't you agree she is gorgeous?

Thanks to you lovely ladies who leave comments. It makes blogging well worth it when you know someone out there is enjoying it.

I will now show you the cards I have made.

May God bless you all. Thank you for checking this out.
Betsy.
