Tattered Lace Dies

Hello again ladies.

For the past few days I have been playing with many of the Tattered Lace Dies as we want some display cards for the SENZ Expo, so I thought I would share three with you. I have actually made twenty, but I sure won't bore you with showing them all! If you are lucky enough to be in Auckland over the big weekend, they will be on display at Artfull Crafts for you to see in person. I have been so enjoying this little exercise.

This is a recessed window card, 5 1/4" square, and I have used the flower die that was on the front of the Tattered Lace, Issue 11 book to make the fuchsia flowers. It is so much fun and the instructions are very easy to follow. There is a variety of different flowers that can be made using these dies, all with the accompanying instructions.

This second card is another recessed window card, I have used the die that was attached to the Issue 14 catalogue as well as the sentiment which came with the Issue 16 book. The photo is one I have had for some considerable time, taken from wrapping paper.

A different shaped card for this one. Issue 12 has two gorgeous corner dies and for this card I have cut one out four times, attaching them to a piece of teal card for a different effect. These Tattered Lace dies are stunning, so intricate and yet they do cut out reasonably well. I do use a piece of greaseproof paper between the die and the card though - it does help release the die easier.

This time next week, all being well, I will be enjoying our time at Geelong with the Kaisercraft folk, at their Retailer's Days. It is always a great time and we so enjoy catching up with everyone there. Then it is flying back direct to Auckland for the SENZ weekend. I am getting a little old for all this jetting but must say, I still enjoy it - my last year I say, but have been reminded that I said the same last year!!

Happy crafting ladies, will be in touch when we get home and may God bless you all.

Random Cards

A special good morning ladies.

Amongst all the business of the past weeks I have still managed to make a few cards, so thought I would share a couple with you all this morning. Preparations for Australia are well under way, followed by the SENZ expo in Auckland. It is all fun but does lend to being extra busy, with quite a bit of work putting class kits etc together. It is all well worth it ladies because I do love catching up with all the friends that I have made over the years and so looking forward to teaching again this year. It is such a fabulous collection we are working with, Betsy's Couture.

For this easel card I have used a die from Marianne Creatables LR0112, the frame round the photo is Spellbinders Floral Ovals and the sentiment label is again Spellbinders, Fancy Tags One. The papers are from Carta Bella, Rustic Elegance, which is ever so delicate and pretty. The flowers are from Green Tara, which are in stock at Artfull Craft, as well as the collection.

All That Glitters is a lovely collection from Kaisercraft and I have used it for this card. Martha Stewart border punch was used for the back edge, the butterflies are cut from one of the specialty papers and again I have used Green Tara flowers with a Kaiser paper rose. The sentiment is a collectable from the range.

Must head back into my workroom now, as I still have plenty to keep me occupied. Thanks so much for taking the time to check this out and do hope you will get some inspiration.

Happy crafting ladies and may God bless each and every one of you.

Two Different Cards

Well ladies, I see a fortnight has slipped by since last posting here, so will add a new post tonight as I have a busy day tomorrow.

We did have a lovely time over Queen's Birthday weekend, as we headed down to Dunedin on the Wednesday to stay with the family there, back home on Saturday evening to find our Christchurch family in residence, plus another family. It was sure great to have them all here, certainly breaks the monotony for "Darby and Joan"!

Tonight I am sharing another couple of cards which I have made recently. Nothing too exciting really, as we are building up for our trip away and time is at a premium. Nevertheless, I do hope you enjoy and get some ideas for your next projects.

I am rather fond of these Saturated Canary digi stamps and I have coloured her using my Kaiserfusion Alcohol Pens. The range of papers is a February 2013 collection from Kaisercraft, called Suga Pop. It is rather fun pulling out some of the older collections to work with and I certainly have a few to get through.

Now this step card was made for a very special friend who wanted the complete pack of my collection - I thought a nice card would be appropriate to go with it. Betty was thrilled with them both.

It is so nice to be in touch with you all and many thanks for all the emails, messages etc. Knowing you are at the other end makes blogging all worth while.

Happy crafting and blessings to you all,

Betsy xxx
