Well, what a whirlwind of a fortnight we have had - we went South and had time with our lovely families down there and of course catching up with our beautiful little great grand baby. He is absolutely divine and I couldn't get enough of him. Zoe very kindly sends progress photos of him through and the last evening's one he had a really cheeky smile - all dimples showing. As our other grand daughter Jade said, Clayton's Aunty, she never realised how much she could love someone. If only we lived closer - Jessy would probably be throwing us out after a time!!
Sorry for the lapse but life does get in the way at times! On the doorstep, when arriving home, I found this parcel which caused me to be rather excited. I ordered, from Crafter's Companions,a couple of 3D Embossing Folders and the results when using them are lovely, so today I thought I would share a couple of cards I have made with them Love to know your thoughts ladies..
For this card I embossed on black card then used some gilding wax on my finger and gently rubbed all over the surface. I was so pleased with the result. Completed the look with some foamiran flowers of course!
This one I embossed again, then rubbed a pearlized stamp pad gently over the top. Both folders are so lovely and the effect is gorgeous. When using these folders the cards can be very simple, easily made, but the results are WOW.
I am so thankful for lovely friends and this is what one of them kindly made me. Lyn I so love it , colour and all. Lilac Whispers, from Kaisercraft is the collection Lyn has used and as she hasn't been card making very long, I think her work is just beautiful. Thank you my dear.
I have a teaching engagement ahead of me this week so had better get back to reality and get some kits put together. I do love the teaching side of it but must say, the kitting up can be quite time consuming. Oh well, the sooner one starts the quicker one will be finished.
That's it ladies, for another week, thanks so much for stopping by. Happy crafting and blessings to all.

Birthday Cards
Good morning to all my blog friends. The weeks are moving round very fast now, one seems to just blink and another Monday is here! Christmas will soon be upon us and it doesn't feel all that long ago I was saying the same thing. The older one gets the faster time moves, I can assure you.
Birthday cards seem to be a priority these days, both family and orders. Just as well I love what I do, isn't it!? Today I thought I would showcase a couple I have recently made. I have used a couple of different folds for these ones, but both are very simple to do.
This card was made for our lovely Ella and for it I have used Bo Bunny, Secret Garden Collection. It is a beautiful collection with it's lime green and purples. The frame round the image is a Marianne Design, CR1251 and the leaves have been cut using Sue Wilson Die, CED1403 and I completed it with some more foamiran flowers.
Prima has brought out this fabulous range called St Tropez - it is gorgeous, has copper foil on it in places and the colours are so nice. The oval, round the sentiment, has been cut using Spellbinder's Oval Regalia, S4-492 and copper card. The effect is stunning in real life! The embellishment holding the front of the card, is one I had in my ever increasing stash!! A foamiran flower, seam binding and some gauze complete this card.
Well, my workroom is going to miss me this week - we are heading down South in the morning to have some time with our families there and of course catch up our most gorgeous great grand baby. I am so looking forward to some more cuddles with little Clayton Jessy - seeing his Mum and Dad will be an added bonus!! Oh the joys of being a Great Nan and Grandad! All the love and cuddles and no responsibility.
That's it today ladies - must go and do some preparing for our trip - my delightful husband was out mowing the lawns at 5.30 AM, in the dark. " Before the rain", he informed me, so there was no shut eye after that!! Thanks for popping by ladies, have a great week and trust you will know many blessings.

Two New Cards
Good evening to all you lovely ladies. Yes, it is Sunday night but as I have a busy day tomorrow thought I would share a couple of cards tonight. It's off to Timaru in the morning to be with the Wilson Street Baptist Card Group as it is their last day for the year. Christmas cards tomorrow. It always is an enjoyable time, they are a lovely group to be with.
I have given this card a rather shabby look by distressing round all the edges of each layer. Kaisercraft's Keepsake Collection was used and two different dies.Cherry Lynn Designs Doily, DL103 and Marianne Creatables CR1251, both cut in half then the gauze, flowers etc were placed over the join. Foamiran again!!
This is a wedding card made for an order, my usual 5 1/4" square card. The border round the inside edge has been cut using Martha Stewart round the edge punch called Double Loops. The heart die, Memory Box, La Rue Heart, 98255 was cut out using some gold mirror card. Kaisercraft's P.S. I Love You Collection was used which I am rather fond of, especially for wedding cards. Foamiran flowers, berries and I have also cut some leaves etc using the mirror card.
That's it for this week ladies. We are feeling a bit flat after our baby excitement last weekend but all's well with the little one and Mum. Love keeping up with the progress using this modern technology! Thanks for taking the time to check this out - so appreciate you all. Happy crafting and do hope you are enjoying some lovely Spring weather. The gardens are so lovely at the moment with all the colour. Many blessings to all,

Exciting Weekend!!
Good morning ladies - it sure has been an exciting weekend and I can hardly contain myself! In fact it feels almost like a dream now. Saturday, I was having a very laid back day, when after lunch we had very unexpected visitors. Our son Cam, daughter in law Michelle, grand daughter Zoe and our super cute little great grand son Clayton Jessy - he is so gorgeous, one couldn't help but fall desperately on love. It sure was the last thing we expected as Zoe had a C Section just a week ago - she assured us she was fine and the travelling did not seem to effect her. What a lovely surprise and thanks so much Cam for thinking of it - thanks also to Jessy for sharing your little boy with us. He is absolutely perfect! I love the dimple on his chin and he also has a big one on his right cheek with different expressions. Oh, I am besotted!! God has blessed our family over and above anything we could have imagined.
I just had to share our cute little boy - Great Grandad couldn't stop grinning and I had to get my hands on him as much as I was allowed. His Grandad and I usually had a race to pick him up! Now, back to the everyday day things of life!!
Today I am sharing a couple of cards which have been made for orders.
A very simple 5 1/4" square card using a very old DCWV collection, called Lemon Flower Stack. The circle die I have used is Lea'bilities Die, 011n 45.8275 which I have cut using Mirror Board in silver. It is an older die that I have resurrected. More foamiran flowers, some berries and some silver cord. Do hope Marge enjoyed her card.
A 50th Anniversary this time. I have made an easel card, gold mirror card cut out using Sue Wilson, Mini Gemini, Aquila, CED4417. Again foamiran flowers, gold berries and some gold fine ribbon. The frame round the sentiment is a Marianne Design die, LR272, that is, the outside edge of the die was used.
That's it today ladies - hope you don't mind me sharing our little boy and the excitement he has caused. Thanks so much for stopping by, it is so nice to know you are there. Liz, I so appreciated your phone call but I am glad I got a cuddle before you. LOL. Happy crafting to all and many blessings,
